Default catback?

i just got a 95 z28. its got stock manifolds and a flowmaster. its def not loud enough. what catback system would be loudest with stock manifolds? and if you have reccomendations for a custom set up with headers i should do let me know.and can you get true dual exhaust on it?

Removing the cat will make it louder and flow a little better. Also, you could get a cutout installed which will bypass the muffler and make it MUCH louder. You can count on a .1 et reduction with an open cutout vs most catback setups.

If you are willing to spend a little more money you could get a custom true dual setup with an x-pipe. This will flow excellent and sound much better than just a cutout or any catback system IMO.

I have long tubes going into a y pipe with one high flow cat and a flowmaster muffler, sounds awesome to me and it is definitely loud. plus you get the added performance with long tubes.

GMMG is the BEST catback

Somewhat loud, but absolutely amazing and other "top of the line" catbacks don't touch it. Borla is nice, but GMMG sounds better and is cheaper.

IMO GMMG>all

Replace the muffler with a pypes violator muffler. I have long tubes, off road y and magnaflow cat back. I changed out the magnflow b/c I thought it was to quit. I put the violator on and started the car. I ended up going back to the magnaflow b/c thats how much louder it was. Too loud. I could'nt see driving home up my block at night with that thing. If you want loud, there you go
