last post on this topic ok guys i know your sick of my exhaust questions. i know know realize that you have to spend money of you want louder than catback. so my question now is whats the loudest catback that wont coast me too much? and also if im going to to a catback and headers should i even bother with shortys to fit my stock set up?
You want loud? Go with MY setup hahaha
I have LPP Long Tube Headers, LPP 3" Off Road Y-Pipe, SLP Loudmouth 1 Resonator. It all dumps just before the axle....lol It is loud as HELL and sounds amazing at idle. I love it...but its only practical here since wyoming doesnt have emissions or a CAT law lmao. So slap a CAT on there and your good to go.
Cost me:
$600 for the LPP Headers AND Y-Pipe brand new
$65.00 for the SLP LM1
I installed the headers and Y, so it only cost $50 to get the SLP LM1 welded up and I was done!

agreed. Emissions laws are a bitch. If you dont have a CAT in a state that requires it your screwed.
As far as an ORY goes, if you look at your stock setup, its 2.5" pipe with 2 CATs...one in each pipe...they it Y's into 1 pipe, then into the muffler, then into tips...It has O2's before and after the CAT is your OBD2...
An ORY is 3" Pipe that gets rid of that 2 CAT setup, smooths out the airflow, and makes everything nice and clean and free flowing. Then you can do a single CAT setup, OR in MY case a NO CAT setup. It still has the bungs for the front O2's if your OBD2, but your have to delete or sim the rear O2's. If your an OBD1, you dont have to worry about deleting the rear O2's cause you dont HAVE the rear O2's lol.

Also what exactly are you wanting to do? You can also try for true duals, or whatever your application calls for...kindof depends on your goals. I wanted a street monster that sounds mean as **** at idle and screams at WOT.....so thats what I have with my setup. I get a new noise complaint almost every day...but Wyoming has no law against it...I checked. Your area may be different...

ok im going toward the cutout. im in mo and just need safety. i called a place and he said a custom y pipe thats 3 inch with two small hi flow cats and then an e cut out would run me about 500-600. is this about right?
