Default Not enough power to fuel pump?

3.4 to Lt1 swap. 1996.

I'm getting 3-5 volts to the fuel pump when I turn the key. That's apparently not enough though. Am I shooting for 12v? Does anyone know what my problem could be?

you're measuring at the actual pump or somewhere else?

The connector that plugs into the pump.

It's a walbro 255 if that makes a difference.

If it's a 12v pump, you need 12v.

Have you tried changing the fuel pump relay?

wiring problem? Good opportunity to just hotwire the pump, shouldn't take more than about an hour.
