Where can I get some dataloging software? and what all do I need to make it work?

Im needing to figure out a more precise converter slip % for my car. Im new to the datalog stuff So any info will help.

autotap, I have never used it but I have heard that it is pretty good and comes with its own cable so everything you would need would come with. I use JET DST tuning software so I am using the ECM Pro Scan software that works with JET's cable. EFI Live will also work to log although I have heard that it works kind of funny on LT1 cars

i Have a friend with hp tuners, But I thought that it wouldnt work on the 96-97 lt1 cars?
