Default LT1 Oil Pressure Problem

So I just bought a 94 TA with the LT1 motor and I think it might need an oil sending unit. When I first start it, the oil pressure is fine: it runs about 50 to 60 psi consistently. After it warms up though, it drops down to around 18 to 20 psi at idle. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it even a problem? The tech at the dealership told me that it was fine, but if it got any lower that it needed to be diagnosed and fixed.

Yeah that sounds perfectly normal. I have a 94 Z28 with 120,000 miles on it. Mine idles around 20psi.

Alright, guess i don't have anything to worry about then. I was just on edge about it a lil bit because my 85 has a 5.0 liter TPI and it consistently runs 40 psi at idle, even when it warms up. Thanks Guys!

It's he result result of the oil's viscosity and how it changes based on the oil's temperature. You're Good-To-Go.
