ABS delete double flare tool

ABS delete double flare tool Ok I was doing my last flare on my brake line to finish up my abs delete...the part of the adapter (the stem) that sticks down in the tube has broken off flush...will it be ok to just saw the tube off and use the adapter without that part that sticks in the pipe?
Flares are very delicate and take alot of precision to be made correctly. The stem of the adapter keeps the material from pinching down over the line while keeping the adapter centered.

ok ya i just saw on their website they offer a double flare for rent a tool...thanks guys hopefully i can get this last flare done so i can get my brakes done so i can get my s60 in and finally drive my car again
Just be careful, and if the flare isn't really nice, re-do it. I've done a lot of flaring lately, and the type of tool you get with the loan-a-tool isn't all that great. Take your time, REALLY prep the line (cut it off nice and straight, chamfer the edges with a file, remove the inner burrs, etc) and get everything STRAIGHT. One of my flares didn't turn out all that great, and now I have a leaking brake fitting.
