Which way is up for pushrods???

Which way is up for pushrods??? Redoing son's blown head gasket and about to reinstall the push rods when we noticed the little dimple. We were wondering if it matters which way the little dimple on the push rod is supposed to go,top or bottom, or doesn't it matter?
