Default lt1 oil pan help

im helping a friend change his oil pan gasket i cant get the 2 bolts right by the oil filter anyone have any suggestions

The oil pan bolts in the filter area can be reached from the bottom. Are the steel cooler lines in the way?

theres no room between were the oil filter screws on and the oil pan i got one off but i cant get the other one i cant even touch the head

got all the bolts out pan is loose but wont come off looks like i need to drop the exhaust

Most likely hitting in the front on the K-member....I just did this 3 days ago and you have to pull the motor mounts and lift the motor a few inches. I have the trans out and then simpley removed the flywheel so in my case it's a little easier but I almost bet your hitting the k-member on the way down

Is this an LT1 in a Camaro/Firebird?? YES, you DO have to drop the exhaust "Y" pipe, as well as lift the engine.......
