I guess I don't see the point in building a car and traveling halfway across the country for a race that basically has no close competition between the cars. Didn't a 12 second car win the n/a class last year?

jk lol

weren't you in this predicament last year? just throw another engine in in a couple days like the magician you are!

EDIT: this just in! make that 4 out of 5 cars touched by Colin broke down! there is no way im driving my car the rest of the week now
I'm no magician. And what is broken on those cars has nothing to do with me. Plus, I sold Casey parts, never so much as spun a wrench on his car. And my old cyl heads is certainly not his problem.

He used a stock flexplate with that stall...no worries, the old one is out as of an hour ago, new one will be in tomorrow evening

Yep. That was my car the won last year. And since you think 12.0 is easy in 3100' DA on 17" radials, lets see if your car could do it...mine did. Actually. went 11.91 in qualifying. If your care to check the DA for that day at KCIR, I'll save you the trouble: http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...2009&time=4:54 PM

No close competition?? Not sure what you are referring to?? Outlaw was won by RT not ET. The other classes had very good competition. Just because 1,000 cars don't all show up running 9's doesn't mean it's not a good time. For most the LTX crew here, this is the one time of year we get to meet face-to-face, drink some beer and have a whole lot of fun racing.

We don't have the bank roll or the massive sponsorships that the LS races do. If you want to patronize their events, that's fine. Don't slight ours. We've done all we can to have this event for the 3rd consecutive year.

Sorry Colin, didn't mean to jack your thread.

Not sure what you mean?? There was plenty of close competition and cars from the 14s-low 9s. Its also not just about the race its about getting together with the guys we talk with all yr long and have some good times in person. I dont see the point in you being a jack *** all the time or building a LT1 if you hate them so much. Why dont you just sell yours and build a LS1 like everyone else.

Seriously. Get a new car. I'm sick of people complaining. Maybe he's just mad because he can't afford an LS1. That's why we all have LT1s right?
