Take it from me, I gave up on my lid conversion because even with the ram air hood you still need to trim a lot off the lower airbox to get the hood to shut. Its not a direct fit

.........yea i expect some trimming of the plastic piece just dont see myself having to cut up the car.
The trimming of the rad support takes about 15 minutes if you already know what you're doing. You basically want to cut it down flush with the bottom of the 4 bolt holes for mounting it. You WILL have to cut the underside of your hood still. I have a glasstek 4" cowl hood and it still needed to be cut a lot. Whatever you do don't cut the car up like some of the people on here. Some hood trimming can be covered up if done right but you can't bring back pieces of your car if you change your mind later.
As far as the list goes you just need the rad support/airbox, air filter, lid, and about a 1ft long piece of 3" silicon tubing. You can trim the tubing to fit between the lid and throttle body. I would go take some pics for you but it's raining pretty hard right now. Feel free to pm me if you have any questions.

Pics of trimmed hood and lid setup?
Man, I love my lid swap. I had to cut a junk load of support out of the hood (sunoco 2.5"/3") and completely flatten the bottom of the ls1 plastic radiator cover/lid support. After this was all said and done, it STILL wouldn't close all the way. My solution was to raise the hood latch mechanism up a bit (like a 1/4 of an inch) and now it closes. Hood isn't as flush as I would like it to be, but I suppose that's the price I have to pay to have a Godly part (descending from an LS1) on my car.
