Default Will a bigger cam make that much more?

Right now i have a custom AI grind 230/236 on a 112LSA and i was thinking of going bigger to make more power. I can spin my bottom end to 7000rpm and right now the rev limiter is at 6500.

I made 405rwhp thru my current setup. Any suggestions on what I can do to have it make more? I'm not sure it would be worth the money but just checking..

So you're shifting around 6300 right now? Raise the limiter to the pcm's limit and spin that cam.

LS1 lid conversion, 3 inch TDs, call AI and ask them what its powerband is. My cam on a 110 is being shifted where yours is right now, you should be shifting around 6700 at least

I was going to spray it but the rings aren't gapped for nitrous. Could i still get away with a 100 shot?

Got a link to the dyno chart? I honestly can't believe you have your limiter set that low. I was shifting my gm846 cam at 6500 with **** heads.

If you can tolerate moving the power band around a little, then we can likely gain. At the same time, we're only talking 8-15hp, which most guys can 'find' in their current setup w/ more refinement/adjustment.

What he said^, You have to consider driveability, we had customers go to a larger cam, driveability became a little harsh on everday street driving and they only gained just like AI said, some 8 some 10 HP...But to some people, this is not a concern and will do the mod for the extra 8 HP...

You're not getting the potential out of the cam you have, so don't change it. I have slightly less cam than you, same heads and am spinning it to 7000, still making more power there than in the next gear. 425 SAE rwhp. If you're running AI's recommended valvetrain, then just raise the limiter.

The best track time i got was 12.00 @ 121 and that was spinning the crap out of the drag radials. No matter what i cant get the thing to hook...I got so pissed that i revved it to 6000 and dumped it and broke the torque arm the last time lol. I have the borla cat-back right now, not sure if i want to go True duals or not. last time i asked that question i got really mixed reviews..

Thanks -- I'll raise the limiter now and see if that will help...but I still don't know about running a 100 shot on rings that werent gapped properly..

Nitto's + lowered + koni's = fail launch. Best 60' I could manage was 1.93. When I tried to get more aggressive I just blew the tyres off.
