Opti bearing play

Opti bearing play I am trying to track down the reason for a high rpm miss on a 96 camaro. The miss happens between 5-7 thousand RPM and gets more apparent worse as I go into the higher gears. I have checked all the parts that I can think of and the only problem I can find is the shaft that holds the metal disk and the rotor in the opti has 15 thousandts of play when you hold it and try to move it side to side. Is this enough play in the bearing to cause the miss or could it be something else?
