how are you going to find tdc dude? you have a non-marked, non-keyed hub.... and if you're running the stock cam, there's so little overlap you probably could mistake the exhaust and compression stroke.

And yes, OP. If you did as such knowingly doing so on the base circle of each lobe then you have nothing to worry about. If you don't know, then you should adjust them again. Shoebox has several methods on this: www.shbox.com
IMO wiggling the pushrod up and down will give you more consistent results of finding lash over twisting.
I run 1/2 turn preload on mine as well. It's easy as hell to find 0 lash just by the feel on the poly lock. I do the spin method just for insurance.

yea it's fool proof fingertightening the poly lock. But you gotta remember that the LT1 crowd will reuse the stock 3/8" studs and buy used rockers, so that method is out
