I own a 96 LT1 stock rebuild, cc503, and LT pacesetters. Tranny back is all stock.

Recently got the car dynoed and still trying to get my hands on a MSD 6AL

But im still trying to figure out why my car is running like boo boo.. lol

Cold starts in the morning is when the car performs at its best, great throttle response etc..
It seems the engine is very unpredictable, some times it runs great and others not so great.

Does this sound weird..My car actually runs better with AC on. Not in power but when i come to stops or when the car is idling everything is much smoother. Maybe the extra load balances things out??

Ive always had a slight stumble if i were in P or N and quickly punched the gas.
What can i diagnosis to maybe prevent this problem?

Plus i hear a very slight knocking sound coming from the front part of the intake. Im assuming rockers though.

Could be the Coil..if you suspect Rockers pull the Valve Cover.

 

sorry if this sounds stupid but could it be the tune?

 

Are you able to look up misfire history, check what cylinders are misfiring.
