Default Cutting The Cowl And I have a Question

First off my car is nothing special. Its a 125k body which needs paint and bodywork. Thus its no collector car and will never be worth much at all IMO. So yes, I do cut on the car in hopes of one day being really fast, lol. With that said: I am considering cutting my wiper cowl. For a few reasons really. It'd make working on the engine bay so much easier. And pulling the engine would be a breeze. Thus it'd make the car a little lighter.

My biggest concern is what kind of hood to get? With the cowl cut, you can see into the back of the engine bay and that's gonna look terrible. VFN has an extended hood but their website mentions 6inches. That's a tad too big for me.

Does anyone have pictures of their cowl cut????

you can do it and still keep the black plastic trim piece at the bottom of the windshield and the wipers. and you can use the factory hood. check out my thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...owl+mod+wipers

Looks good and I wouldn't have to go to an extended hood. I'm afraid the VFN hood is a little too tall for my taste. But I plan on running a single plane with elbow or accufab TB in the future. So I do need the extra clearance...
