Opti problems Hi i have a 96 z28 and iv been having missing problems from 5000 all the way up to rev limiter and iv dun a fuel psi check and change wires and plugs and if its the opti would that mean the whole distriputer or just the cap and bug if sum1 one would give me some feed back om this that would be great thinks
Are you getting an SES light (service engine soon)? If you are, you need to pull the codes. But, more than likely, it will have something to do with the high resolution part of the opti's encoder. If that's the case, the whole opti needs changed, because the high res encoder is shot.

Thanks for responding so fast im kind new with this lt1 stuff and yes i pulled the codes of car it just said miss fire win the lite was on it really would miss and and act strang win i turned it of it only missed after 5000 or better rpms so wat distriputer would u recomend and wat is the opti recoder oh and this account is guna be deleted im the speed z28 now just want to lett u no and thanks for imput
