radiator issue

I am trying to see how I should run my radiator hoses due to an issue I have with my radiator.

The nipple seen in the picture below that is capped off with the black cap is broken off.. The hole has been sealed but I am seeing high temp issues.. I do not think it is an issue with the thermostat because the coolant is bubbling pretty good after it warms up.

I am unsure what this nipple that busted off is for.. I believe it is for the steam tube.

Oh this is a fresh motor..

The picture is just used for reference of the radiator.. Its a fourth gen radiator used in an unknown vehicle.. This is the best picture I could find that showed the nipple that I discussed in the first post.

Any information on this will be appreciated..

What are we looking at here? a small block chevy gen 1? with what heads? and what intake?

That fitting is indeed for the steam tube. Not having it connected is muy bad. You can always have a fitting brazed into the radiator tank.

Is there a way to run the steam tube into any other way? Such as putting a T hose that runs somewhere else?

Maybe because it's a reverse cooling system it was designed for the internals of the radiator is different? Is this thing for Drag only cuz a cooling fan would help out a lot...
