I know most are running tr55's but I have a brand new set of TR5's sitting in the garage. will these work ok? I have a 67 chevelle with a motor and trans out of a 95 camaro. From what I was told its stroked to a 383. Other than that I don't think its anything radical. sorry for the stupid question i just don't know the difference between these 2 plugs. thanks for any input!

TR5 is gapped at .040" out of the box; TR55 is gapped at .060" out of the box. TR55 has a solid terminal nut, TR5 has a removable terminal nut:

Power at the flywheel? Compression ratio?

ok so if I gap it to .050 I should be ok then. Other than the terminal nut is the heat range the same?
I was told its making about 400 hp. I havent had it to the dyno to confirm, and i have no clue on the comp ratio. Its frustrating when you really have no clue on whats inside, and just going off what the seller told me.

My main reason for doing the plugs is ive been getting a missfire under mid to wot. The seller also told me the car is tuned in closed loop so its really gutless until it gets up to temp. it also smell pretty rich , could be the tune or lack of cats, or im hoping the fowled plugs. Supposibly motor was rebuilt around 8k miles ago, ignition stuff all look to be new aswell.
