How would you guys compare this exhaust with GMMG, Corsa, and Borla? Not looking at expense. I just want to know what your opinions are on the sound between all of them.

I love mine.....I also had one on a TPI Formula 350 that had shorties, custom Flowmaster merge Y, and no cats.....it sounded even deeper than the LT1 does.

I ran the one on the Formula for over 40,000 miles with zero problems, and I'm at 5,000 miles on the LT1 and it's doing fine too.

Corsa has never done anything for me at all, looks or sound.

GMMG sounds amazing, hands down the best looking and sounding catback, IMO. Might be a little loud for some for cars with more cubes, agressive heads/cam, ect.

Borla, sounds pretty good. With the open plate you might as well have just done a straight pipe tho.

Hooker, good sounding. Looks okay, and gotta love the oldschool name

GMMG, Corsa, and Borla r all stainless steel. that in my book thats the only down side to Hooker. but im sure if the Hooker was SS then it would cost much more then it does

the SLP is SS too. but im not a big fan of it. its loud but doent have a defined tone. for a mid modded car or stock car its too much in my mind

IMO the Hooker sound with LTs blows them all away.

I loved the sound of the 2otl muffler. I had a 2otl set up but with a magnaflow muffler ( same design as th slp) and did'nt sound even close. Hooker would be nice if it was stainless. Im running a magnaflow but its just alittle on the docile side for me. Im looking into changing the muffler to a edlebrock SDT muffler, anybody ever heard that one?

It is mellow and really not loud until after 2000 rpms, then it gets loud and throaty, cuseing in 6th going down the highway I don't hear it. I would recommend it, it sounds a lot better than a similar setup in the slowmaster IMO.
That's odd. I've had mine for nearly 2 years and still sounds great.

I've had both, the hooker doesn't come close to the 2otl. Good luck finding one though, I only paid $175 for mine so I got it for a steal. It's also a lot lighter than the hooker and I would be willing to bet it flows better too.

^ its only at that rpm too, not at idle, or at wot like some people have said theirs have. I don't know if its actually anything to do with the muffler, it has done it since day one, but my sisters boy toy's bird, same year as mine, has a slowmaster on it and it does something similar in that same rpm range, so that makes wonder if it is the stock manifolds and not cat, but it really doesn't bother me, I have gotten used to it. Other than that I love the sound, and would reccomed it over a slowmaster any day.
