Default Help with wiper arms

Hey guys, I'm trying to get my wiper arms off my 94 t/a to switch to the ls1 style arms. My question is how to get them off, I popped the cover up exposing the 13mm nut. I then took the nut off, the arms still feel like they are solidly attached though, and i don't want to break anything. Is there more safety pins or something? Or is it just stuck from being a 16 year old car?

They are press-fit on. Use a puller if you have to. Resist the urge to pry on them with a screwdriver because you WILL break the glass.

i don't know if i have a puller around here i don't think I do. If they are press fitted on do i need to do something special to get the new ones on or do they just set on and bolt up?

No they just bolt on. You'll see the seat for them is tapered and splined. That's why they are hesitant to come off. With enough wiggling they will eventually come off. If they still don't, resort to the 2-jaw puller.

A little bit of heat on the arm right around the stud works like a charm. Even a little soldering torch is enough.
