Need LT5 education!

Need LT5 education! I know what an LT1 and an LT4 is (who dosen't) and what vehicals they came in. What the HELL is a LT5. Maybe I'm just ignorant or just plain stupid, but until I clicked on this web site I have never heard an LT5. I have what I thought was pretty extensive knowlege of what engine goes into what GM vehical for the past 30 or so years. I guess I don't. Some one educate me! Thanx!
lt5 came in the ZR1 corvette, dual overhead cam, sounds awesome. absolutely sucks to work on, everything is crammed in there, the starter is under the intake manifold, but there is a switch on the dash for "normal" mode and "power" mode. thats a readers digest version.
