Default next thing to do for my z28

So after i fix my car I was thinking of doing a lil bit more work since ill be getting my financial aid and tax returns but im just planning on spending at least 1500 and save the rest for emergency, so my car has a little over 123,000 miles on it and I was told if i do cam it could blow my engine should i just wait and keep saving for a full rebuilt, or what are your guy's suggestions?

as far as mods:
pacesetter lt's
magnaflow exhaust
no cats
moroso intake
msd ignition 6al
3,42 gears
and its automatic

I think a lot of people put cams in around that millage and are fine, mine has 121k and im gonna be caming min next summer i think. your mods look like a good start, def do the bolt ons before the cam. I would as a good stall converter to you list as well since your car is in auto, 3000 + range.

there's a sticky at the top of the LT1 Forum about cam selection, but i would also recommend a converter. You might consider a Yank (3600 is nice on the street) since they are on sale right now.

well i would start with a great converter, and look into a heads/cam setup from LE or AI.
