I just bought the lid mount off ebay.
there are two model year Lids listed. One for 98-99 cars and the second for year 2000-2002. What is the difference between them and wich one should I choose?
Thanks

If you do a search, there are a lot of threads talking about just that. How to threads, parts lists, etc etc. I just really wanted to see how people are doing theirs, and to give me motivation and inspiration to get mine done.

That is really up to you. Some guys refuse to do any cutting on their car, or refuse to change their hood for the lid swap. Some guys will do anything for a little bit of horsepower. There have been some pretty decent gains reported from doing the lid swap.
Personally, I have a K&N cold air, and after reading about the lid swap, I decided it's what I wanted to do. I picked up a ram air hood and a LS1 base. I just need to get it painted, get a lid and some couplers.
It really depends on what you want. You want to cut or change hoods, or do you want to keep your car as it is?

my lid swap
I just got a new alternator and battery so i needed a new engine pic. and yeah i know its not an LS1 lid but i always wondered which is better LT1 WS6 airbox or LS1. i doubt i'd ever change to an LS1 lid but i'm just curious. If the LT1 WS6 airbox wasn't as rare and expensive as it is, would you guys have gone that route instead?
