1997 camaro shell
I am buying a rolling chassis that is perfect, everything is clean and the interior is immaculate. Only problems it there is no title. Would i be better of transferring the needed body panels and interior to my car or should i just transplant my drivetrain over? I have no clue why there is no title or what i would have to do to get one.

Call the DMV, tell the DMV the vin number. Then you will have to go through the process of re-titling a vehicle.
and HOPE that it already doesn't have a rebuilt/destruction title

you don't want to transfer parts on to your car that are stolen either my buddy about 15 years ago did a full conversion to his 87 foxbody to a 93 cobra and he didn't know the parts were stolen so he said... any way the cops were watching the shop that he got the work done at and they came by one day and picked him and the car up. When they finally let him take the car home he said it was the fastest the car had ever been of coarse it was probably because he had no interior no doors no wing hell he had no back hatch he sat on a milk crate that he somehow strapped down so it didn't shift.

as a fellow citizen you should give the cops that guys number and tell them the suspicions you have of it being a stolen vehicle, most likely they will look into it....if someone stole my car i'd be pissssssssssssssssssssssssed.

you can call your local police department's non emergency line. You can tell them the vin and they'll be able to tell you if it's stolen or not, when it was last registered, etc etc.
