For now it's just a cam only setup. But I need to get something for tuning and I will eventually turbo the car so I figured upgrading would work best in the long run. I don't like to upgrade only to have to upgrade again. Do it once, do it right.

I'm much more in the planning/researching phase than the purchasing phase. Just trying to find the best/cheapest/smartest route. And yes, I know it isn't cheap. but I'm not planning on ever eclipsing quadruple digits so all out is unnecessary.

I've also considered this as well but to use the stock ecu.. Is there anyway to use a crank trigger and ditch the opti completely with the fast setup?

If only Fastbird was around...his T/A has the XFI setup.
I think RealQuick on LTXTech knows something about the XFI stuff as well.

Thats what I did and many others too.

Brian Macy from Horsepower Connection is a super nice guy willing to answer emails, calls and anything at pretty much anytime of the day. He built my piggy back harness for the XFI/Stock PCM combo. If I did it again I'd go full stand alone and just make a new dash. You lose tach with a piggyback.

Tony.
