Question SBC Timing Cover on LT1 Block????

I'd like to put a 2 piece SBC cover on my LT1......I have an electric water pump and a dizzy out back in the single plane intake (no more opti)......so i'd have to plug the opti hole in mine anyway, and it would be nice to have a 2 piece cover for easy adjustments. Has anybody tried doing this??? Do the bolt holes line up??? Or am I just better off welding up the hole in my LT cover??

From looking at pictures it looks like there's an issue with the top three bolts?? Am I correct?

You would have to frankenstein a SBC cover quite a bit to make it work on the LT1. If you want a 2 piece you may be best off to cut one in half and machine a groove in one side for a piece of o-ring to seal it to the other half... assuming it is thick enough. It wouldn't be hard to do something like that if you have access to the right tools.
