Yea the wires are fine. It happens so intermittently that if it was a wire it would be happening all the time. I think its the pork starting to go. I think I will be ordering one as well soon.

lol OPTISPARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone is having problems all of a sudden with the opti lol. Mines might be going out soon too. Ima get one from Chandler motorsports. Plus a couple of other guys are having problems with their opti just recently. Mines runs when great when the car is cool, but when i go far and its running at 210 i punch it and it hesitates and accelerates and hesitates again. Only when i drive it normally without hard acceleration it works fine or when the engine is cool, but when it gets warmer and i try to punch it, it bogs. Yup its the opti oh well lol.

Not tryin to beat a dead horse, but I had a few wires (MSD Super Conductors) that looked fine and were not old, but did not ohm out good. THEN, the first new set of replacement ones(AZ wires just to get something on hand quick) I got had several in it that did not ohm out good. Swapping those wires fixed my issues. It's worth a shot to not have to buy and replace an opti. I'd check them with a good multimeter even if they look good and are not old.

Resurrecting this to try to find out from the OP if the opti fixed the problem he was having or not.
I am having a very rough idle problem especially when in gear and my 96 Z28 shakes bad when idling and driving from the rough running engine.

I had started a thread of my own but have received no responses.

Thanks!

James
