Breaking in new 396 build.

I will also be breaking in my engine on an engine dyno before throwing it in my car.

It's really a rebuild after I spun two rod bearings last September. Not the builder's fault. Freakin' oil pump pickup snapped right off the tube. Strangest thing, but I tend to have bad luck with that kind of ****.
397 (I call it 396 to avoid all of the weird looks)
Cola crank with Callies splayed main caps
Scat H-beam 6" rods
Diamond pistons
AFR Eliminator 210's
Custom cam - was my old Comp Cam, but we had Bullet regrind it. Glenn and I had an idea about changing the profile and Bullet agreed with our changes.
LT4 intake with the Lloyd Elliott treatment
CR ended up 11.9:1

I think Glenn charges $500 to dyno. He provides everything: oil, filter, race gas, etc. etc. It's usually mandatory when he does a complete motor build. Because I am a repeat customer and because we are playing around with it some in addition to normal run-in and pulls, we have done two dyno sessions and will be doing a third - all covered under the one time dyno fee.

Really? About all that he would have to do is get a fuel supply system that would allow fuel to return to a tank and provide enough backpressure at the rail. I asked about running my dyno at the local shop and all he said I would have to do is bring my own fuel delivery system.
