Default Magnaflow Questions

Will a magnaflow 15684 exhaust system fit on my 97? What is different about them? They list the 15684 as a 98 to 02 fitment and 15620 for the 93 to 97 cars. I have LPP longtubes and ORY will it sound better than my loudmouth with no cats?

LS1 is 98-02, LT1 is 93-97. Yes it will sound better than the loudmouth.

Yea I under stand that it's that there are 2 different part numbers for the two different engines, ls1 cars V's the LT1 cars. I was looking at them on magnaflows site and it looks like the difference is that the LS1 system has 4 hangers V's the LT1 system that has only 2. With my Loudmouth I already had to buy the hanger adapter kit so can I use the LS1 system and just add something for the tip hangers on this system? It should fit right? the only obstical will be the hangers on the tips?

likely the only difference is the area where the I-pipe connects to the y-pipe just like with the SLP LM.

as a person who went from a SLP LM to a Magnaflow, I have this to say...you will love it 100x more than the old exhaust. LM sounds like diarreha to me and I'm glad I got rid of it. only reason I got rid of the magnaflow is because I have exhaust ADD and wanted duals.

As far as I know the only difference is the hangers. I bought the LT1 one for my '95 to replace my dual exhaust set up. I had thrown away my stock driver's side rear hanger and had a hell of a time trying to locate another one. If you already have LS1 hangers then I'd suggest buying the LS1 cat-back. The two extra hangers use plates with threaded holes that slide into the frame rails through factory holes.
