Clearly you have never seen that the header bolts on a sbc head are about 2.1" apart center to center. Not much room to fit a 1.75" header tube in there and still allow the bolts to thread in

Mine were then same way. Everything fit in nice though in the end. took about 10 minutes to get the Y in and snugged up
