Formula Track Results...

Ran my 96 Formula A4 at the track today...

Mods are:

Moroso Cold Air Intake
Pacesetter Longtube headers
Pacesetter ORY pipe

Underdrive crank pulley
MadZ28 tune

I ran it on "shitty" sumitomo street tires, and Pulled a best of...

13.458-1/4 mile
103.64- MPH
2.040- 60'

madmike9396 03-13-2011 05:28 PM

not bad at all

AChotrod 03-13-2011 05:29 PM

Not bad at all! Get some tire and stall and youll be 12s all day

robsquikz28 03-13-2011 05:41 PM

slicks and stall, 12s all day

SpeedFreak123 03-13-2011 05:41 PM

I have DR's but I dont wanna break my rear... :(

My stall is in the mail. :)

myltwon 03-13-2011 05:49 PM

I doubt you'll break the 10 bolt on a bolt-on auto car though 4.10's aren't the strongest gears in the world.

good times btw.

slackerr26 03-13-2011 05:49 PM

stall alone might be able to get you into the 12s if you dont blow the tires off depending on stall speed

SpeedFreak123 03-13-2011 05:53 PM

I got lined up with some pretty decent runs...

I got to race a 2010 Camaro SS which ran a 13.1 @ 106.30mph...

I also got to run a New Challenger SRT8 (6 Speed), he ran a 13.5 @ 105.46mph...

A 2010 GT with Spray (I believe), which fucked me up LOL at the 1/8 mile marker, he flew past me and hit the 1/4 with a 12.1 @ 117.43mph

irocurpony8489 03-13-2011 07:10 PM

what stall did you go with and what track are you running at?

Lawhead 03-13-2011 07:15 PM

I see all these trap times and it depresses me about the street stock class haha mine was trapping 107 with the SAME exact mods minus the CAI replaced with a Lid (which helped A LOT for what you have to do)

But good ET's for sure best I could do even with a 107 trap was 13.2 -___-

SpeedFreak123 03-13-2011 08:31 PM

I went with a Yank 3000, I wanted to go SS3600 but they're having great deals on the stealth series.

Lawhead- I hit 105mph on one of my 13.5 runs of that makes your happy lol

You wont break the rear with it being an A4. Great times for suck a bad 60 foot. Stall it and that f#cker will run!

3DFORMULA 03-13-2011 09:22 PM

With an auto you can get a pretty good launch on a 10 bolt. A friends LS1 was hitting a 10 bolt and getting 3 foot wheelies. 107mph you could be in the 12's hooking

95mysticta 03-13-2011 09:35 PM

Thats not bad at all my m6 with full exhaust, suspension, and 4.10s and i was running the same MPH but half a second slower et. Best i could get was 13.9 with 2.19 60 and was either blowing the tires off or bogging bad and couldnt get the happy medium where it would launch the way i wanted it to. So seeing that you ran the same MPH and ran half a second slower makes me happy i knew that my car alot of more in it with an good launch out of the whole. Hoping to do alot better this year with the new engine going in this year!

SpeedFreak123 03-14-2011 12:18 AM

EDIT: After thinking about it and discussing with my friend, I believe the race I claimed to be against a 5.0, was actually a 4.6 with spray.

Reasoning behind this thought... If it was a 5.0 I would not have pulled him until the 1/8, and I highly doubt that when the car gets to 95mph (1/8 mile mph on timeslip) that it would randomly pull 6 car lengths....

Nice job!
Weld your axle tubes and run a girdle for extra piece of mind in regards to your ten bolt. You'll be okay
