Default lt1 assembly question

ok heres my issue, i read in a book i have that the lt1/sbc connecting rods need to face a certain direction with the "dotted/flat side of the caps" in relation to the block, ie on one bank it is supposed to face the front and one bank the rear.

I am trying to verify this, and i cant even find my book for the info currently

96/97 lt1 350 stock rods

thanks for the help

IIRC when you go to put them on they'll literally either fit or won't due to tight tolerance and slight offset.

Yes but why waste the time of placing them into the cylinder just to take them out and turn them around, thats how nick or othere accdents happen. Are your pistons already mounted on the rods yet or do you have the tool to do it? if the pistons are already mounted on the rods then just make sure the arrow is pointed forward

yeah, I forgot the proper orientation for the dot facing since its been awhile since I had a rotating assembly infront of me but I did remember that fact so I figured it might be worth mentioning lol
