Default a few e85 questions

i have a 383 with 12:1 compression, some good lt1 heads, and all the matching mods to go along. my ?'s are:

Would there be any advantage for me to switching to e85?
How does it react with nitrous?
and lastly, i have an A1000 and a set of 42# racetronix matched injectors... would there be any issues with compatability of my fuel system components? and are my injectors large enough to support aprox. 500 fwp? thanks
Nick

That compression will love E85. My car runs so much smoother with it.

Add 32% to what you need for regular fuel. Google E85 rcaing and E85 performance and you will find some good stuff

I will be running 14.4 to 1 and a 450 shot and 120Lph injectors

Oh yeah most people report .10 to .15 increase in ETs with no other changes

I was informed that switching to E85 on my setup would net me anywhere from 30-40 additional HP. The ONLY thing keeping me from converting is availability. The nearest station is 40 miles away.

Check with your local race fuel company. See what a barrel of E98 and a pail of sunoco 109UL cost and mix it your self.

Yeah it'll take roughly 30% more fuel. I'm running 7-8 lbs on stock compression with a roots blower with 42 lb injectors but its been so long I dont remember how much of those Injectors it was using. If it cost a lil bit less I'd run it all the time.
