Default smashed y-pipe

so hit a pothole the other day and noticed an oil leak the next day. so i crawled under the car today to find the drivers side of the y-pipe smashed till it was almost completely closed off. now would this build up enough back pressure to cause an oil leak? i have oil leaking out the front crank seal and around the oil pan now.

i might cut it out tomorrow if i can find some tubing, i got stainless kickin around but that means tig welding it so the y pipe would have to come out and if its out i may as well wait for my longtubes to get here. good thing i just finished the trans install on my silverado.
