Do you know for sure it's a 93 Engine?

The Intake will be slightly different, but everything should plug in. It wont have the Vented OPTI and '95 specific Timing Cover, unless you swap it out from yours.

Wiring may be an issue. Mine is a 95 but was built late, so it is wired OBDII.

Just about all of them are wired OBDII, but ran OBDI.

the intake, with fuel rails are different. the Injectors and the opti are different. But to do the opti swap, you'd also have to swap the timing cover and the cam, as the 93 doesn't have the ability to pull the dowel out (easily anyway). aside from that, all the electrical connections will work. The only one that would be different would be the opti potentially. I'm not totally sure about it tho. If the Opti is the same then you should be able to get away with an intake swap and that's it. The physical architecture of the LT1 is the same between all years. G/L.

thats what i was thinking id like to just keep the opti thats in it its fairly new and dont want to tear into it very much its a temporary motor what do i do for wiring to the opti and do i need to lengthen the wire to the oil pressure gage?

You willl need to swap out these parts

fuel rail
intake, throttle body
timing cover to a 95 or switch to vented opti and 96 timing cover, but doing so you will have use a 96+ opti you can keep the 93 crank hub
opti for 95
oil pressure sending unit
coil and icm to a 95
93 cam will have to be pulled as well for a 95+ or add a dowel pin for the 96+ timing cover...95 in spline driven like the 93

Injectors are the same, so dont change them out

IIRC 92 & 93's have 22 lb injectors where as 94 and up have 24 lb injectors.

No need to change the fuel rail/intake because the fuel line connections are the same. You will just have a little extra slack in the fuel lines because of where the connections are located on the 93 intake. You will also need an opti harness, if your staying with the 93 opti. I assume you will be using the 95 pcm and harness? If so, then just use the injectors off your 95 motor. Same with Throttle Body, b/c the IAC is different. And everything else Robsquikz28 said.

Whenever you build your project motor, I would stay use the 93 intake cuz they're better.

You don't have to change it if you have the 93 harness. The set of wire that goes from the opti to the harness up by the injectors. if you don't have that harness you can always buy one to save yourself the hassle of changing the opti.
