i was wondering about valve covers that will fit the lt1 with the stock alternator location. all that i have found is the canton valve covers and i really like them but if i dont have to spend 200 bucks on valve covers i would rather not.

Corvette composites will fit. so will Gm performance Aluminum but I don't know if they are under 200.

 

Here you may have to grind on the back of the alt but it works for me just fine.

 

It's amazing to me that the eBay polished LT1 valve covers constantly go overlooked. There are TONS of them, they look great, and are under $100 and fit with no modifications (both internally and externally). Not to mention you can get them with just about any breather hole setup you want.

thanks guys... i looked around and i think eventually im gonna get some cantons even though some of them have so many problems... but for now im just gonna stick with stock ones and cut the braces out.
