Default So I have lead on that problem pushrod help?

So that problem i had with that ticking noise and the video i had before for it turns out its probally a bent or lose pushrod i was only able to get the valve cover up a little so cant see anything but it was felt. It wiggled when was turning it. My question is if i bent the pushrod is the valve damaged or could the valve still be ok or be salvageable sp i can just change the pushrods and rockers only?

the valve might be ok, but if the pushrods are bad the valve obviously hit something. the save bet is to pull the head and check the valve, or at least do a leak down and compression check.

You don't have to pull the heads, you should at least do a leak-down test first so you know what you are dealing with.

If you really want to do heads, you can certainly port stock heads for use with either the 350 or a stroker.
H/C 350s put down 380-420 without much trouble. How much power you make
really depends on how much you want to spend and how much cam you are willing to tolerate.

http://elliottsportworks.com/ <-- this guy can help you out
He certainly helped me with both my 350 and my 383.

Some of the guys have had good luck with http://www.advancedinduction.com/ as well

You can
a) send him your stock heads
b) buy a set of used Lt1 heads for $175-$200, OR
c) buy a set of aftermarket castings for $1100+ (Dart, TFS or otherwise)

I have done my own heads on a few projects, I've also had other people do them for me.
It's not terribly difficult if you have basic tools, jackstands and some free time.

Here's the documentation from my H/C install a few years ago

If you're pulling the heads, then you're gonna want headers, especially if you get them ported or get aftermarket, so I would pull the EGR and gently place it in the trash. Then roll it to the end of the driveway.

Watch for the coolant x-over tube bolted to back of the heads. Make sure you don't damage that or strip the bolt head when removing the heads.

I've never pulled the heads with the motor in the car, so I don't know of any guides, but it's just nuts and bolts. I would have a professional re-install and adjuster rocker arms, etc.

The EGR needs to be removed, as do the intake manifold and valve covers.

Use this as a guide http://shbox.com/ci/cam_removal.html
and this to put it back http://shbox.com/ci/cam_install.html

You can do all of this with the motor in in the car.
