All of the ECM's from 93 are the black plastic ones with the removable PROM chips right? Even the M6 ones?
Reason I'm asking is because I payed for a 93 ECM from a guy on here and got the newer style metal ECM, no PROM chip.

It's a black metal case with 4 square ports and hopefully a 4 letter code. A small cover plate has to be removed to expose the chip.

Inside, you'll find a long blue plastic module that clips to the board.

If the ECM has already been tuned, it probably has a memcal piggyback adapter
which "inserts" the new chip between the board and the blue module.

Here's some thirdgen info, most of it also applies to the 93 LT1

Note that if you put the new PROM on the adapter backwards, you will fry it (LFMF)
