Bad Luck!
Bad Luck! So i just finished installing my SJM abs delete kit (Ill make a new thread just for that) and i go to start up the car to drive it, and my oil pressure drops to ZERO! I know its not the guage because my lifters bled down and started making noise 
I think its my oil pump drive gear. im going to tear down the engine tomorrow to find out for sure (even tho im 99% sure it is) does anyone know the best place to get a replacement ? Id prefer something alittle beefier then the stock set. Even tho it lasted 182k miles.

Shon Herron sells a billet aluminum replacement then get the Comp composite gear the whole setup will cost you about $250 or you can just buy mine, I switched to a single plane intake and an MSD oil pump drive plug. PM me if you're interested or send me you email address and I can send you pics of mine.

If you are looking for something new and maybe a little beefier than stock I got a Melling M-55HV High Volume, High Pressure oil pump from Summit for only $27.95 and it has worked great for my 383 LT4 engine build. My pickup and pan were expensive, $52.95 for the pickup and $275.95 for the pan because I wanted the high volume pan, but the pump was very reasonable. I got the Milodon 18316 oil pan pickup to match the Milodon 30909 6qt. street and strip oil pan but I would think if you are keeping your stock pan your stock pickup should work.
I'm using the one from this link on the stock oil pump drive...and it's not that expensive.

Thanks guys. it just really sucks that it happened right after i finished my abs delete. I was SO excited to take it for a spin and actually be able to stop! Im happy that it happened when and where it did because i was at my shop and not on the road in the middle of no where. However im still scared that i have internal damage.
I already have a mellings standard volume pump with the GM white spring. Theres maybe 8k miles on the engine. I can get a new oil pump drive setup for under $80 shipped. I just need to find which place can get it to me ASAP.

Verdad Gallardo I bet your quickest place will be your local dealership. I can have one next day here, so it's probably the same there. I had a similar scare a few months back. Lost all oil pressure and the valvetrain rattled very bad. I was also worried about internal damage, but after I fixed it I was right back to 60 psi cold and 45+ hot (175* coolant temp) oil pressure and zero noise. Engine is bone stock and almost 90K miles now. Has almost all bolt-ons and the car looks to have 2x the milege it has, so it has been driven hard...just taken care of.
I said all that to hopefully give you some confidence that things will be okay. I thought very seriously about at least looking at my bearings before firing it back up. I'm glad I didn't go through that trouble of time and money. If there is a problem, you will know soon enough not to cause any more damage.

The cam is my main concern right now. Its a full billet cam from LE. so i shouldnt be to worried. but i am. Im going to call up a dealership tomorrow with the part number to see if they either have it, or can get it. I can get it from GMpartsdirect for around $45 before shipping but id like to get it up and running asap!
