Relocate Alternator and keep A/C ??
Are there any "home-brewed" alternator relocations that keep the A/C compressor and P/S in their stock locations? I'm thinking it could be done by:
1. cutting the bracket off even with the head
2. adding an upper idler in the original lower alternator bolt location
like alot of the relocations do, except leave the compressor and ps pump where they are....then:
3. fabricate a bracket to mount the alternator on the driver's side somehow with it driven off a seperate belt.
I have eliminated the AIR pump. I have an underdrive pulley set that pushes the original balancer out and the belt grooves aren't being used. I still have ABS and don't plan on getting rid of it. I know there is a very expensive aftermarket kit to do this, but has anyone fabbed something on their own?
