Regardless if the trans is under warranty or not it is going to kill the value. No one wants to buy a 'new to them' car only to have to take it to a shop to have it fixed unless they feel they are getting a deal. Listing it for 4 or 5K when the blue book value doesn't even suggest that if it was in excellent condition is ludicrous. I would also suggest parting it out (however if you are leaving soon I'm sure you don't want to deal with that) or letting it sit until you have time to mess with it.

For what it's worth...lol.... I was thinking of trading my 97 WS6 (with 84000 miles) in on a new SS , they offered me 1500$.....lol

I would definately try to get 2500-3000 for it. it's still possible. I hate to see a decent car get parted out just cause of a bad tranny, that makes me sick actually. It would still make a good project for someone.

If I found a nice stock LT1 or with minor bolt-ons I wouldn't mind paying $5k or more. I think $2k for yours is a little low.

Loosing 3rd and4th is really common in 700r4 the 3rd and 4th gear clutch is burnt out I would say put 3000 oho and see were it goes

hell i just paid 5k for a 99z with 81k miles on it. car only needed a a/c compressor.i need to sell the damn thing if you guys are getting that out of your cars in different parts of the U.S.
