Default can i use this cam

ok looking at getting a cc 503 for my lt1 block that is 30 over.

i was wondering if it would be ok to use this with a carb set up with a bd-11 powerdyne supercharger running it at most 8 psi. i only want to make like 550 at the most to the ground. i would also have a set of heads sent off to be ported by llyod. can i use the cam??? thanks

i was thinking about having llyod specs out a cam but i wanted to see if this would work and if id did i wouldnt have to spend the money i would to have him spec and port a set of heads. have a machinist that is a family friend that cuts us good rates on or head and block work. so if i could use this cam and i could get out for about 700-800 dollars cheaper but i realize sometimes the cheap way is not the way to go

I bet there are other shelf cams that can work ok. You aren't going for a crazy power build so I don't think a custom cam is completely necessary. Obviously a blower cam will work better and be ideal, but a shelf cam can still get the job done. And no, I don't know of any in particular.
