Default Passenger side Header install problem

Hey guys,

So im almost finished installing my new set of headers but i have a problem. The passenger side header is so close to fitting in but the inlet is getting caught up on the intake manifold. i took the valve cover off but it still wont fit in right. any tips on how to get it in? They are pacesetter lt's btw.

you going in from the bottom? the only issues i see is the k frame and the lower primary tubes sometimes hit a little. Not sure how the inlets are hitting the intake?

Sounds like you are trying to go in from the top? If so, I've never known a pass. header to be successfully put in from the top. I'm pretty sure it is better to go in from the bottom and quite possible you will have to remove the pass. motor mount bolt and jack up the engine for clearance...

through the bottom. i recently tried to install some hookers through the top, and it was a no-go. pulled the starter and angled it in from the bottom, took 10 minutes of trying but it went.

+1 on remove motor mount, just the one big bolt no big deal. It sounds like it's going to be a lot more work, but it goes in so much smoother.

Does no one read the instructions? Remove starter is all that necessary to install from bottom

I have never had to remove the motor mount in an LT1 car. All I have ever done was remove the starter then it slid right in.

Save yourself the cursing and swearing just remove to motor mount bolt and jack the motor up and it slides right in like a glove. Hands down best way to do IMO but everyone has there own way.
