I blew the RAP (Retained Accessory Power) module on my car while trying to install the window fix and lost both my radio and power windows. While looking for a fix i discovered a few threads talking about your issue (intermittant cutting out of both) on newer model cars. 96+ cars have a BCM aka Body Control Module and there is a circuit in there that the solder joint goes bad and you have to open up the box and resolder the connection. i don't remember where the picture of the circuit was but try searching for it.

I went to solder my bcm today and i had a hard time. Getting it out was easy but soldering the little points was difficult partly because i didnt have real tiny solder. I would suggest getting the smallest solder you can get at radioshack or somewhere.
