Default Engine break in ??

I recently finished building my motor but have not had time to break it in yet since I just moved to NC. I also installed long tubes w/o air or egr, and the check engine light is on becasue im waiting on my 02 extensions to come in. Ive fired the engine over a few times for less than 30 seconds at a time just to make sure the oil pressure was good, but would it be safe to break the engine in if the car isnt going into closed loop?

Personally I wouldn't do it. Just hold off for your extensions.

I havent even had it tuned yet, thats partly why I ask. I guess Ill wait for the 02 extensions and get a mail order tune to get me in the ball park and go from there.
