OP: think of your engine as a giant air pump, which it basically is, any thing you can do to increase the cfm flowing through that pump will increase its power. good places to start are a CAI or an LS1 LID swap, headers, exhaust. use the advanced search feature to search ONLY the LT1 section, things like basic mods, bolt ons, heads/cam etc etc and soak up as much info as you can.
