The ride is no worse with 315/35/17 vs 275/40/17.....keep in mind sidewall ratio of "35 series" is proportionate to the added width of the tire (now 315 mm) so the side wall height is no difference at all....just the ratio 35 vs 40 series.

Im running 275/40/18 with no height issues what so ever but i bought new shocks and bump stops. Tires were fricken expensive though for that size tire. Not sure if my wheels will hold a 315 though. Seems my wheels were 10.5 in the back though.

Why would get Torq Thrust M. The Torq Thrust IIs look way better. get 17x11 if going Torq Thrusts.
$245 a rim is alot can buy them used on here for alot cheap and with tires. That would be over 1.5k for tires and them rims on summit.

Stock rearend with 10in wheels the back spacing is 7.5in.
Wheel width is + or - 1in of your tread width.

You most likely could, but the footprint of the tire would not be true, wear would be uneven and it would look super ridiculous.

17x11 wheel with 315/35/17 tire is perfect....the ZR1 wheels I got have a 50mm offset and fit fine now with standard BFH mod and rolled fenders since I'm lowered....here's the rear wheel I'm running...they are dirt cheap FYI; you can get a set of 4 (2 17x9.5 2 17x11) for less than $450. The deep dish looks awesome by the way.

51mm for sure....or just get the ZR1 wheels since 95% of us with 315mm tires run these...save some $$ for new tires

I see the zr1 wheels have 50mm offset, just as good as 51 i suppose and a heck of alot cheaper than the american racing i was looking at. Should fit fine with stock height and suspension right?

They SHOULD fit with no issues IF completely stock suspension; every car is different though, don't be surprised if you have to take a hammer to it however or cut off bumpstops Only way to make absolutely sure is find somebody with this size wheel/tire and test fit it. Where there's a will there's a way to make those bitches fit even with 335mm tires...I've seen it done and it looks badass.

I have 17x12in TT2's with the 315 sumitomos. (they were widened 1in.) I think with a 45 or 50mm offset. i forget and they fit without any issues. Didnt have to do a thing with a BFH. I know what your trying to go for but you dont want them sticking out too far. its gonna look stupid that way.

Yeah, so i'm hoping the 50offset on 17x11 is perfect with 315s.
