few noob questions First i would like to know what sealant to use on the opti. I took mine off to locktite rotor. I have the Green stuff for the rotor should i put a seal on the cap??
How do i take off the cap? what tool is used. Last time i used the TB screws but not trying to do that again.
my car has traction control and i want to delete it. I know i need a non TC cable but should it bolt right up? what about tranny kickdown i have A4

Its a T5 Or T 10 Torx head iirc. The cap should be self sealing via a large rubber o ring. I dont think it could hurt to put A SMALL bead of black rtv around the sealing edge of the opti. Check the gasket on the plug for the opti as well to make ceartin it is in good shape and will keep moisture out..

thank you ram air. i have the t-10 and those too are basically both male ends so to speak. i will look into that. 24 hr autozone down the street from the house. 
Thanks for the cable. wasnt sure about transmission kickdown like on older cars. im a little hesitant to dig in that cause there are a few cables (cruise control etc). but it would be nice to by-pass that that junk.

no your right. there is no "kickdown cable" or TV cable. 1993 f-bodies were the last year to have it. Its the throttle and cruise control cable only.
Just remove that black box thats on the driver side valve cover and the original cables and put in the new one. Its that simple. If you want to retain cruise control then you will need a non tc cruise control cable as well.
