Need to know need to replace the one on my 97.

Negative. The arms are different. LT1 arms then LS1 arms. The LT1 arms were better in that they have air deflectors to hold them on the wind shield at speed but have an odd type of wiper mounting configuration.

When I had the '94, I changed to the later style arm to use better wipers which weren't available for the early arms.

Can I make the 98 system work or is it way to off? I mean besides te arms what about bolt points for the wiper motor ? I never had them apart on my
Ls1 to know.

The arms directly interchange. I don't know if the rest of the wiper system is the same but I suspect it is.
