Default Custom Head Gaskets??????

Anyone know who to go with? Also what is the turnaround time and price you paid? I need something right around .080" compressed thickness.

I went with a Cometic MLS gasket for my 355 build. You can choose the gasket bore ID as well as thickness. They make each gasket to order and took mine about a week from ordering to show up with UPS ground shipping. Cost was $190 shipped for the pair.

I thought about that but I have 2 problems.

1. The pistons have a real nice coated top to them, so fly cutting would go right through it. They are Mahle's.
2. The fly cutting tools cost a lot more than a set of gaskets.

Unless you know where to get an 8mm stem fly cutting tool for a 2.10" valve for cheap?

What about retarding the cam a little? The only gaskets I found that thick were SCE copper which would require o rings.

You can call cometic and ask about custom ones.

There is a post about LS fly cutting tools on here ill look for it

The pistons are out of the hole .023". The cam is ground on a 105 LSA. With it installed straight up with a gasket that is .049", the exhaust ptv is .045ish and the intake is .060ish. I advanced the cam 4 degrees to help the exhaust out (and it did) but then the intake valves hit. I doubled up the shitty Fel-pro gaskets that came with the gasket kit just to see how much it would open up the ptv clearance and it helped immensely. I was running the lash a little tight at .018".
